Middle School Curriculum Training

Description
The Middle School Curriculum was developed for use by educators and law enforcement officers to reduce drug abuse and violence among youth in their early teens. The ten lessons focus on social skills and violence prevention strategies. Since June 1, 2003 this training has been incorporated into the 10-day D.A.R.E. Officer Training. Therefore, this training is ONLY for those officers who have gone through the D.O.T. prior to June 1, 2003.
This training will be conducted by D.A.R.E. Officers who have completed the 80-hour D.A.R.E. Officer Training seminar, the 32-hour Senior High Training seminar, the required fieldwork, and who have additionally completed the 40-hour Mentor Officer Training.
Requirements
In order to attend this training, the officer must have completed the 80-hour D.A.R.E. Officer Training and taught two full semesters of the D.A.R.E. Elementary Curriculum. A waiver may be obtained for certain situations, please contact D.A.R.E. New Jersey for additional information.
Details
A continental breakfast will be provided for each morning. Hotel accommodations, if necessary, are the responsibility of each participant. Each attendee will report in civilian attire (jeans and collarless shirts are not permitted) by 8:00 AM each day.

Note
Notice of cancellation must be received by D.A.R.E New Jersey, Inc. 72 hours prior to the first day of cancellation to avoid being billed or to receive course refund.
