A Letter from the Chairman & CEO
D.A.R.E. Program Administrators,
D.A.R.E. New Jersey takes great pride in the fact that we continue to provide D.A.R.E. trainings and program activities throughout the United States. We look forward to another year of positive growth and impact on our schools. Our success is a true reflection of the commitment and cooperation of Chiefs of Police, D.A.R.E. Officers, Educators and parents statewide. We appreciate the motivation, effort and dedication of the officers and agencies we work with.
D.A.R.E. provides you with a foundation of educational tools and effective teaching practices that will help you to better understand your students as you deliver the D.A.R.E. curriculum. After the training has been completed, we will continue to support you with whatever technical assistance you need to further enhance your role as a certified D.A.R.E. Officer and School Resource Officer. In addition, you will find information on our website regarding course offerings, descriptions, dates, schedules, locations and the new curriculum trainings.
The D.A.R.E. training program is both exciting and innovative and the rewards to you as a D.A.R.E. instructor are immeasurable. The start of this year brings with it much enthusiasm and anticipation, as we again reach out and make an extremely positive impact on our most precious resource, the students.
Your dedication plays an integral part in why the New Jersey D.A.R.E. program strives to be the largest and most successful drug and violence prevention program in the country.
In an effort to support D.A.R.E. programs throughout the country, we are opening our doors to out-of-state participants to help D.A.R.E. grow.
Sincerely,
Nicholas R. DeMauro
Chairman & CEO

Train Now!
With the completion of the new D.A.R.E. Elementary and Middle School curricula, it is recommended that D.A.R.E. Officers do not delay in completing the updated certification trainings. Phase I includes Facilitation Training and Phase II introduces the new curriculum. Both Phase I and Phase II will provide you with the necessary learning tools and knowledge to teach the new curriculum. It is mandatory that you attend both of these training seminars being offered during the year in order to obtain your new certification and teach the new curriculum. This required training is important to current D.A.R.E. Officers, so that they may continue teaching the D.A.R.E. program in their school districts while using the latest techniques.
Upon the completion of Phase II, D.A.R.E. Officers are required to complete an on-line survey for final recertification. This final phase must be completed as soon as possible. If you have not received your password information, either in the mail or via email, please contact D.A.R.E. America. You may teach the new curriculum after the completion of Phase III.
